The following players transferred or were removed from the team since the 2009 season.

Here's a glance at what they did next.

Brice Ramsey (QB) - Announced he was transferring in the Spring of 2017.

Kirby Choates (DB) - Announced he was transferring in January of 2017.

Juwon Briscoe (DB) - Announced he was transferring in December of 2016.

Rico McGraw (DB) - Announced he was transferring in December of 2016.

Shaquery Wilson (DB) - Announced he was transferring in December of 2016.

Tim Kimbrough (LB) - Kimbrough left the team in late 2016 and decided to ready himself for the NFL Draft after weighing options from some smaller schools. He was not drafted.

Chad Clay (DB) - Clay was kicked off the team in June 2016 after being arrested twice in four months. He transferred to Marshall.

AJ Turman (RB) - Announced in March 2016 that he'd be leaving. The transfer set off a dramatic debate after new Dawgs coach Kirby Smart put restrictions on Turman's next school. Turman transferred to Florida Atlantic University.
Faton Bauta at Colorado State

Jonathan Abram (S) - Announced on Jan 13, 2016 that he was leaving the team.

Faton Bauta (QB) - Announced in December of 2015 that he was transferring to Colorado State. In 2016 he started Game 2 for CSU.

Tramel Terry (DB) - In September 2015, announced he was transferring. Landed at Jacksonville State in Alabama.

Detric Bing-Dukes (LB/FB) - Transferring for more playing time in August 2015. After spending a season with Iowa Western Community College he signed with Ole Miss. Expected to contribute to the defense in 2016.

DeVondre Seymour (OT) - Quit the sport of football (June 2015) but resurfaced at Southern Illinoise University in August of 2015. Player profile.

Jacob Park (QB) - Decided to transfer in June 2015, ended up with the Iowa State Cyclones.

Josh Cardiello (OT)  - Transferred to University of Tennessee-Chattanooga.

Blake Tibbs (WR) - Undecided on where he will end up (June 2015).

Sheldon Dawson (CB) - "No longer with the team" in September 2014.

Rico Johnson (WR) - Medical disqualification.

DeAndre Johnson (DL) - Medical disqualification.

Shaq Jones (CB) - Kicked off the team in October 2014.

Jonathan Taylor (DT) - Kicked off the team in July 2014. Enrolled at Alabama. Kicked off the team in 2015.

JJ Green (RB) - Transferred to Georgia Tech.

Brendan Langley (CB/WR) - Transferred to Lamar University in Dec 2014. Langley was selected by the Denver Broncos in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft.

Shaq Wiggins (CB) - Transferred to Louisville in 2014.

Josh Harvey-Clemons (S) - Transferred to Louisville in 2014.

Tray Matthews (S) - Kicked off the team; resurfaced at Auburn in 2014

Paris Bostick (LB) - Transferred in April 2014.

Shaquille Fluker (S) - Transferred in April 2014.

Christian LeMay (QB) - Transferred to Jacksonville State in 2014

Uriah LeMay (WR) - Transferred to Charlotte in 2014

Ty Flournoy-Smith (TE) - Transferred, went to JUCO and then signed with Alabama.

Ken Malcome (RB) - Transferred to Southern Illinois University before the 2013 season.

Isaiah Crowell (RB) - Kicked off the team in June 2012, transferred to Alabama State. Did not get drafted in the 2014 draft but signed with Cleveland as a free agent.

Quintavious Harrow (DB) - Left UGA in July 2012 due to academic reasons. Harrow landed at Garden City Community College in Kansas.

Dontavious Jackson (RB) - Transferred to University of Alabama-Birmingham. Played in 7 games in 2011 and carried the ball 20 times for 83 yards. 2010: sat out after transferring.
2009: Appeared in 4 games for the Georgia Bulldogs as a redshirt freshman.
HIGH SCHOOL: Heard County High School

Marcus Dowtin (LB) - Transferred to North Alabama. Undrafted free-agent in 2012, signed with the New York Jets. News out of Jets camp HIGH SCHOOL: Fork Union Military Academy

Nick Marshall (S/QB) - Kicked off the team at UGA, ended up at Garden City Community College before transferring to Auburn where he is now the starting QB (since 2013) for the National Champion Tigers.

Washaun Ealey (RB) - Transferred to Jacksonville State in the summer of 2011. Last season (2011) Ealey (pictured) rushed for 1,082 yards at JSU. 2011: Jacksonville State University 2009 & 2010: Part-time starter at UGA. HIGH SCHOOL: Emanuel County High School

AJ Harmon (OL - transferred to Cumberland University)

Derrick Lott (DE - transferred to UT-Chattanooga)

Jakar Hamilton (S - transferred to South Carolina State) Hamilton appeared in the NFLPA All-Star game along with Richard Samuel. He finished the game with 3 tackles and returned 2 punts for 6 yards.

Jordan Love (CB - transferred to Towson University)

Carlton Thomas (RB) - Did not return to college.

Derek Owens (CB) - Transferred to Alabama State

Makiri Pugh (DB - transferred to Colorado)

Brent Benedict (OL - transferred to Virginia Tech)

Montez Robinson (DE - Now in the Arena League)

Logan Gray (QB/WR - transfer to Colorado)

Zach Mettenberger (QB - transferred to LSU)

Trent Dittmer (P)

Sanford Seay (WR) - Kicked off the team; transferred to Itawamba Community College in Mississippi. He will played at Louisiana Tech starting in 2014.

Chris Sanders (S) - Kicked off the team; transferred to Georgia Military College. Kicked off the team there, transferred to Eastern Arizona junior college. Signed with Baylor.

MAY 2016 I've often thought that Georgia's success when it comes to putting players into the NFL was a double-edged accomplishment. On one hand, it's great publicity for the program and we all love to follow our favorite Dawgs when they move on to the next level. However, Georgia continues to turn in seasons that fall short of fan's hopes and expectations. Dawg fans see highly ranked recruits come to Athens, find mediocre success and then leave to become stars in the NFL.  The players' professional success becomes depressing when one considers What Could Have Been?
